Living Our Values: Celebrating Our Core Values Award Winner

Our core values hold significant meaning at Tribute. We put a tremendous amount of thought into defining them, we work hard to live by them, and we encourage them in one another every single day.

This year, we wanted to take that commitment a step further. We created a new award to recognize team members who go above and beyond—those who truly exemplify what it means to work here. This award honors the individuals who shape the Tribute experience for their colleagues, our Caregivers, our referral partners, and the wonderful families we serve.

We opened the floor for nominations, enabling anyone in the company to nominate a coworker they felt deserved recognition. Today, we are thrilled to announce the winner of our inaugural award: Holly Sledzinski, our Caregiver Onboarding Manager.

Identifying a Silent Struggle

Holly’s selection for this award is rooted in her deep empathy and proactive leadership. Through her work, Holly recognized a profound emotional reality: our Caregivers build deep, loving relationships with clients. Consequently, when a client passes away, the impact on the Caregiver is significant.

Holly realized that while our Caregivers often experience this profound loss, they lacked a structured, safe space to process those emotions. Seeing this gap, she didn’t wait for instruction—she stepped forward.

Creating a Space for Healing

Holly took it upon herself to create a Caregiver Grief Support Group. She wanted our Caregivers to know they were not alone. She has some training in grief counseling, so she built a sanctuary where they could process difficult moments together, honor the relationships they formed, and feel truly cared for by their community.

What started as a response to client loss has evolved into an ongoing, compassionate resource for our team to lean on during challenging times.  Her vision and commitment to this group are the definition of our core value: “Treat Each Other with Love.”
