Skilled Dementia Care that Celebrates the Individual

We recognize that dementia and memory issues manifest themselves in many ways. That’s why our Client Solutions and Caregivers take the time to get to your client on a personal level. We get to know their personal interests, likes, hobbies, favorite foods, and life stories so we have multiple ways to comfort them and lift their spirits during times of confusion or anxiety.

Comprehensive Training

All our Caregivers are required to complete comprehensive dementia training, ensuring they understand the various stages of dementia, how to communicate effectively, and how to handle behavioral changes. They learn:

Types and Stages of Progression: Understanding different types of dementia and the stages it goes through as it progresses.

Communication Skills: Strategies to work through cognitive challenges and behavioral symptoms.

Environment Management: Creating safe, comfortable environments to reduce agitation and confusion, particularly during sundowning and other challenging times of day.

Shadowing Program

There’s no substitute for real-world experience when it comes to supporting dementia clients. New caregivers accompany seasoned team members on client visits, gaining invaluable insights into maintaining calm under pressure, managing daily routines with ease, and bringing moments of joy to those in need. These hands-on experiences not only help meet the challenges of dementia care but they help Caregivers lift and support each other.
