Assessing Needs & Services FAQs
How do I help aging parents?
Helping aging parents starts with open, respectful conversations about their needs, preferences, and safety. Look for changes in health, memory, or mobility that may signal they need support. Tribute can guide you through this process with compassion, offering personalized home care that brings relief, confidence, and a better quality of life—so you can focus more on being their son or daughter, not their caregiver.
What specific services do home care agencies provide?
Home care includes personal care (bathing, dressing), help around the house, medication reminders, companionship, and memory care. Services also include safety supervision, hospice support, and a client app for transparency. At Tribute Home Care, every service is tailored to promote comfort, dignity, and peace of mind at home.
How do you determine what types of care are needed?
A Client Solutions Manager meets with your family to assess daily needs, routines, safety, and preferences. Tribute Home Care develops a client-led care plan that evolves with your parent’s health and lifestyle, ensuring the right kind of support—physically, emotionally, and socially.
How do I determine the level of care required (e.g., full-time, a few hours a day/week, live-in)?
Consider your loved one’s daily routines, memory, safety, and the family’s availability to help. Tribute helps families navigate this with a thoughtful in-home consultation to recommend the most appropriate schedule—short visits, long hours, or 24/7 live-in care.
How does live-in care work?
Live-in care means a dedicated Caregiver resides in your loved one’s home to provide continuous, supportive care. They assist with personal needs, safety, household tasks, and companionship throughout the day and remain onsite overnight. While they don’t provide constant overnight monitoring, they’re available if needed. A private bedroom and time for breaks are required, and we manage all scheduling, oversight, and replacements, giving your family consistency, comfort, and peace of mind without the disruption of multiple rotating caregivers.
Can services be customized to my parent’s changing needs?
Yes. Tribute’s care plans are flexible and regularly updated based on health changes or family feedback. Our dedicated team stays in close communication, adjusting the care approach as needed to ensure continued comfort and quality of life.
Are medical services provided, or is it non-medical care?
Home care is non-medical care to provide personal care, companionship, and support with daily tasks. While we don’t provide skilled nursing, our Caregivers work closely with your care professionals to ensure a seamless, respectful experience at home.
Can Caregivers administer medications?
Caregivers may assist with medication as directed by client if the client is alert and oriented. If client is not alert and oriented, our Caregivers may remind the client to take meds from prefilled pillbox.
